He has led creative teams as a Creative Director at a full-service digital advertising agency in New York City, where he oversaw the visual and narrative direction of campaigns and managed designers, motion artists, and copywriters. Known for being highly detail-oriented, he maintains a strong quality-assurance mindset, ensuring every asset meets both brand standards and performance goals. His leadership balances big-picture brand thinking with hands-on execution across fast-moving performance environments.

In addition to creative leadership, Carlton has served in hands-on creative roles both in-house and at other agencies, where he was responsible for concepting campaigns end-to-end and executing them through design, photography, and video.
